Basic Guidelines

  • Affix the image to the mug with high temperature tape.
  • Put the mug in the machine
  • Close the handle and adjust the pressure knob to make sure the mug is well pressed.
  • Connect the power cord and turn on the power switch. The display screen should illuminate. Pressing the “OK” key, the screen shows “P-1”, you need to set a working temperature by pressing up or down.
  • Pressing “ok” again and the screen shows “P-L”. This is the protective temperature. Set again with up or down.
  • Pressing “ok” the third timei and the screen shows “P-2”, you need to set time with up or down. Temperature and time required will vary according to the material used, so check manufacturer guidelines.
  • Once time and temperature are set up, press “ok” again to confirm al the setting data. The machine will start heating up.

Mug Sizes

The bosstop mug press is assumed to have an 11oz capacity heat wrapper. This can be changed to a different heat wrapper size, but you will need to purchase the heat wrapper online (and hope that it is compatible).

There is another mug press in the hackspace, which has two heat wrappers.
