Safety

- Be aware of other people around you. Don't bump into them and be respectful of usage space around the equipment.
- Tie long hair back.
- Don't wear loose clothing that might catch on any moving part.
Use the following recommended safety equipment for protection while using this machine:

Bandsaw blades
- The blade specification is: Bandsaw Blade Length: 1,640 mm (64.1/2“). Width: 13mm. 14TPI.
- Here is a suitable replacement blade from Axminster for £11. Axcaliber High Carbon Bandsaw Blade 1,640mm(64.1/2") x 12.7mm 14 Tpi 340686
- The spares are located in the cabinet under the bandsaw.
- If there are no more spares. buy a replacement and request reimbursement through the normal forms. Alternatively, Comment on the forum.

Problems
- Stop the machine first.
- Wait until the blade has stopped moving.

Cleaning up
- Put all safety equipment back.
- Brush or vacuum the machine to remove metal dust. Sweep area around the band saw and bin the rubbish.
Maintenance
Changing the bandsaw blade
- Find suitable gloves to protect your hands. Even blunt blades can cause damage.
- Changing the blade requires undoing 10 screws, this is a PITA, a poorly designed process, go carefully, as some parts are not durable.
