No Wet Use

This machine is for use with wood dust in the

Do not use this extractor for liquids … unless it is an emergency. Use the Charles vacuum from the CNC for In the manual, it also talks about using the machine to clear liquids,

one has to replace the Hepa filter with a little gauze thing, which is bound to get lost.

Do not use without a bag

- If the vacuum cleaner is used without the paper dust bag, the dust container must be emptied and cleaned after each use. I'm not sure is a good idea at Hackspace because doing so would, I assume, quickly screw the Hepa filter, which is even more expensive than the bags.

Extraction velocity monitor & filter shaker button

If the extraction velocity monitor is red, press and hold the filter shaker button for 3 seconds. (device/extraction must be on) the filter will continue the shaker function for a further 5 seconds after release.

If the monitor turns red only when you connect to a power tool, ensure that the extraction spouts of the tool and hose are not blocked. If clear, it is OK to use. Check the flow periodically by removing the extraction hose.

Removing the Collection Bag

The collection bag must be replaced when the extraction velocity monitor goes to red and stays on red.

  1. Unlock the container catches and remove the lid.
  2. To remove bag undo the container hose pull bag off the container deflector flange.
  3. Close the bag by flipping the tab over (fig 4 below).
  4. Dispose of the filter in a suitable container according to the applicable laws.
  5. It is good practice to change the bag regularly to guarantee optimal cooling of the motor.

Inserting a new Collection Bag

  1. Spare collection bags are kept in the cupboard in the hall. If we are running low, please ask on the consumables forum thread for more to be ordered.
  2. The collection bag has a card-reinforced opening with a tab at the top.
  3. Handle the bag with care to avoid damage.
  4. Insert the collection bag into the container with the opening towards the front of the vacuum cleaner (fig. 3 Below).
  5. Pull the bag opening over the container deflector flange ensuring the collection bag opening passes over the ridge on the container deflector.
  6. Fold out the rest of the bag downwards into the container.

Auto-Start 1500W Power Tool Take-Off automatically turns the extractor on and off with the connected power tool.
