The extractor can be noisy so consider wearing hearing protection during use. If there is a lot of dust in the woodshop, respiratory protection is also recommended.

The WV100 features the well proven dual filtration system (0.5 micron filtration) along with a noise reducing acoustic hood. It’s the ideal extractor for small bench mounted machines such as disc sanders and for power tools. It is compact enough to be stored under a bench.

Check if the drum needs emptying before and after use.
Airborne wood dust is hazardous to health. Wood dust should always be vacuumed rather than swept with a brush to avoid creating airborne dust.
Large chips, eg from planing or the wood lathe should be gathered up using the dustpan and brush and binned before vacuuming.
Do not use without the filter protecting bag fitted.

This machine is for use with wood dust in the wood workshop.

Do not use this extractor for liquids. Instead, use the Charles vacuum from the CNC for liquids.

Removing the Collection Bag

The collection bag must be replaced monthly as a minimum and is part of the monthly maintenance schedule however, if the bag is damaged or needs replacing sooner please replace it.

  1. Unlock the container catch and remove the lid.
  2. Remove the elastic band then remove the bag.
  3. Replace the bag using one found in the consumables cupboard in the hallway using the elastic band to hold it in position.
  4. Replace the lid and fasten it with the container catch.
  5. Dispose of the filter in a suitable container according to the applicable laws.
