Basic Guidelines
- 110V Jointer (also called a “Planer” in the UK), so must be plugged into the transformer: make sure to turn the transformer off when you're done!
- The transformer must be disconnected from the power when not in use, as it will overheat and die if left connected.
- To this end, the transformer has been attached to a plug that will turn off after a certain number of hours. Do not remove the tranformer from the timer plug. Even though this device has been provided, you should still unplug the timer plug from the power when you have finished using it.
- Ensure that whatever wood you are putting through the jointer does not have nails in it
- Please do not attempt to adjust or remove the knives: the process of correctly installing them is very time consuming (takes approximately 3 hours). If you feel like they need some adjustment, please make a post on the forum so any potential problems can be discussed before adjusting the knives.
