We recommend that you read through this document first to get a better understanding of METAZAStudio. This "Readme" file provides some important information about installing and setting up this program.

The explanations here assume that you are already familiar with using in Windows.  For further information about using Windows, please refer the user's manual from Microsoft Corp.

1.  Summary

To create print data for METAZA, you need to design it using a combination of images, texts, and objects. Then, output the design to METAZA and print it on the surface of a material such as metal.

2.  System requirements
========================================================

- Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 8.1 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows 10 (32-bit or 64-bit) or Windows 11 (64-bit) operating system
  * As this software is a 32-bit application, it runs on WOW64 (or Windows-On-Windows 64) under the 64-bit version of Windows.
- Intel(R) Core 2 Duo or higher processor (Core i5 or higher recommended)
- 1 Gbytes or more RAM (2 Gbytes or more RAM recommended)
- 15 Mbytes or more of free hard disk space for installation
- 16-bit color (High Color) or higher video card with a resolution of 1024 x 768

3.  Installation

1. Log on to Windows as a member of the [Administrators] group.
2. Close all software applications.
3. Double-click the "setup.exe."
4. The [User Account Control] appears, click [Yes].
5. Follow the wizard displayed on the screen.

Follow the instructions on the setup menu on the CD-ROM to install and set up.

4.  Important Notes
========================================================

- METAZA Driver Version for MPX
If you use 32-bit windows, use version 1.20 or later of the driver. If you use 64-bit windows, use version 1.10 or later of the driver.
With earlier version of the driver, you may not be able to print normally.


- Compatibility of METAZAStudio files (.mzs)
The files saved in version 2.00 or later cannot open in the program of version 1.xx.


- SFEdit2 Version
Use version 1.02 or later of SFEdit2.
With SFEdit2 prior to Ver 1.02, the following operations are not available.
- [Edit]-[Stroke Font]-[Run SFEdit2...] command
- [Edit]-[Stroke Font]-[Edit Stroke...] command
- [New Stroke Font] of [Font] when a stroke character is selected in [Properties]-[Format] tab


- If change the name of the group, In the library or the [Materials] dialog box, may make the following message appears.

	[Destination Folder Access Denied]
	You need to confirm this operation.

If this happens, click [Continue].
Clicking [Skip] or [Cancel] may make it impossible to insert registered shapes into the window or to register shapes in the library or the [Material] dialog box. If that occurs, quit the program, then restart it.
