====== Bicycle Tools ====== On the wall of the metal workshop, the hackspace has a well stocked kit of bicycle repair and maintenance tools. {{:equipment:metalshop:16936696216916501015800019713438.jpg?400|}} Top row: Spoke tensiometer, Spoke Keys, Tyre Levers, chain wear tool, Chain Cleaner, Screw driver for spokes. Middle Row: Chain Splitter, Bottom Bracket Tools, Crank Puller, Pin Spanner, Cone Spanners, Cassette Tools. Bottom row: Chain Whip Headset spanners, Pedal spanners, Splined Bottom Bracket spanner. Note on chain wear tool: If the 0.75% side goes easily in to a chain on a 6-10 speed cassette, the chain needs replacing. On a 11-13 speed cassette, it would be at 0.5% - do judge this as when the 0.75% side only just starts falling in. {{:equipment:metalshop:bicyclewheelstand.jpg?400|}} Above the shadow board hangs a wheel truing stand. {{:equipment:metalshop:bicyclepump.jpg?400|}} At the bottom there is a track pump. Bottom left under the bench, you can just see a bike stand which can be clamped in the vice. On the right of the bike shadowboard, there is a chain masterlink tool made from some old pipe pliers. There is also a cable cutter. ===== Instructions ===== [[https://www.youtube.com/@parktool|Park tool]] on Youtube have great instructional videos.
